J Califano: The house on one side has a deck in the back, but it is hidden. On the other side
there is a gazebo and you can't make out if there is a deck as well because of the foliage.
Klusczinski: That's all I had, any other questions?
Sporleder: Yes, I have one. This isn't related directly to the deck, but looking at your site plan,
how do you get from the deck to the pool? Is this grass or paved?
J Califano: It's grass currently.
Sporleder: Do you intend to eventually pave it at all? Make it so a paved area connects to the
back?
T Califano: We'll probably landscape it somehow to make a walkway down to there.
Sporleder: Ok, that's irrelevant I suppose.
T Califano: We haven't gotten that far yet.
Sporleder: I guess that I was wondering why the deck wasn't big enough to reach to the pool or
something like that.
T Califano: We have to wait for the pool people to decide exactly where they're going to locate.
They were out there once and said that the general location was fine, but they may have to move
it a bit if they find big stumps or something.
Sporleder: Is there any current landscaping there that needs to be removed?
J Califano: Weeds.
Sporleder: Ok. So you're not expecting any big stumps?
T Califano: Well, we'd heard that there was a big tree there once that fell on the house. But you
know the neighbors always have different stories to tell you so you don't know what's true or not.
Klusczinski: Any other questions? Any discussion among Commissioners? Chair opens public
hearing. Any member of the public wishing to speak in favor of the petition? Seeing none. Any
member of the public wishing to speak in opposition? Also hearing none, I close public hearing.
Any other questions? What is the board's pleasure?
Riley: I move that we approve application 2007-0912A.
Sporleder: Second.
Klusczinski: Motion has been made and seconded. Any discussion? All in favor? (Ayes are
heard) Opposed? (Silence) Motion carries unanimously.
Moved: Riley Second: Sporleder
To approve C of A 2007-0912A Approved Unanimously
Application Number: 2007-0912B
Property Location: 1212 E.
