COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />L Treasurer's Report <br />Location report presented by Catherine Hostetler <br />2. President's Report <br />Standing Committee assignments will be distributed with minutes. <br />Special Committee for Southhold Awards is as follows: <br />Mary Jane Chase, Chair <br />Catherine Hostetler, Lynn Patrick, Linda Riley <br />SBCSC <br />The South Bend Community School Corporation Board of Trustees reelected its 2006 officers for <br />a repeat term in 2007. According to the South Bend Tribune, Feasibility studies. were also <br />approved on January 8, 2007 for Monroe and Marquette Primary Centers. Hebard & Hebard <br />Architects, Inc. has been commissioned for the study, which will likely be completed by early. <br />February. Of the two schools mentioned, only Monroe sustains the protection of Landmark <br />status. Therefore, I am openly concerned about school corporation proposals that affect <br />Marquette as this usually implies a demolition and reconstruction plan. <br />Interdepartmental Relations <br />Our community is in a state of crisis, apparent thru the number of vacant and abandoned <br />properties. This was the topic of discussion last Tuesday (January 10h) at a public Community <br />and Economic forum, at the Minority Health Coalition offices (Lasalle Square) with participation <br />by Mayor- Luecke. Also at the meeting, Jeff Gibney was introduced as the new and Interim <br />Executive Director of South Bend's Dept of Community and Economic Development. Public <br />
