I <br />Revenue Sharing Funds, and it must be kept well in mind, and out in front that <br />this county is going to have to start considering very carefully the further <br />expenditure of these type of funds because it will not be long, and we will not <br />have these funds to fall back on. He felt that the Council and the Commissioners <br />should start now to set more strict priorities for the spending of these funds. <br />There being no further discussion relative to this issue, the public hearing <br />was closed. Whereupon Mr. H. Chris Overgaard moved for passage as presented <br />which motion was seconded by Mrs. Torzewski. No further discussion, the vote <br />was taken, after which the measure passed unanimously 9-0. <br />Bill 32-80 An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. 47-78, the Same Being an Ordinance <br />Authorizing and Empowering the St. Joseph County Board of Health to Establish <br />and Collect Fees for Services Provided and Establishing -Procedures for the <br />Accounting and Transfer of Such Fees. <br />Mrs. Velma Torzewski, chairman of the Human Services Committee commented that <br />this matter should be returned to committee for further study and reorganization <br />by the Health Department. <br />This was unanimously agreed 9-0 by the entire Council. <br />Bill 25-80 An Ordinance Designating and Establishing an Historic Landmark <br />Under Ordinance No. 154A 1973; Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 6, As Amended, <br />Commonly Known as the Zoning Ordinance of St. Joseph County, Indiana (68286 <br />Miami Road) <br />Mr. Earl L. Kime, chairman of the Land Use Planning Committee commented the <br />Committee has no recommendations. <br />Mr. John Oxian of the Historic Preservation Commission commented that this <br />is a superior home, originally constructed 1885, and a vernacular style house <br />with the architectural style being the most important part of this landmark. <br />The historical portion is that the man who built this house originally had <br />a log cabin located here also, and moved from the log cabin into this elabor- <br />ate home, in that particular time period. <br />There being no further discussion from the council or the tax paying public <br />the public hearing was closed. Whereupon Mrs. Freda Noble moved for passage <br />which motion was seconded by Mr. Odell Newburn. There being no further dis- <br />cussion, the vote was taken after which this measure passed unanimously 9-0. <br />Bill 26-80 An Ordinance Designating.and Establishing an Historic Landmark <br />under Ordinance No. 154-A 1973, Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 6, As Amended, <br />Commonly Known as the Zoning'Ordinance of St. Joseph County, Indiana. (16021 <br />Cleveland Road) <br />Mr. Earl L. Kime, chairman of the Land Use Planning Committee commented the <br />committee has no recommendation. <br />Whereupon Mr. John Oxian again reiterated that this landmark is Italianate in <br />style, and has a cupola on the top, and an Italian style home with the cupola <br />on top is very rare. The house has a historical aspect built in,1865, and <br />the man who originally built it made his fortune in the gold rush of Califor- <br />nia. This home he commented presently belongs to Mr. Bernie Bauer, but he <br />does not reside in it. <br />There being no further discussion relative to this matter, Mr. H. Chris <br />Overgaard moved for passage, which motion was seconded by Mrs. Velma Torzewski <br />There being no further discussion, the vote was taken after which vote it was <br />unanimously approved 9-0 for passage of this ordinance. <br />
