December 27, 1979 <br />Mr. & Mrs. George Long <br />68286 Miami Road <br />Bremen, Indiana 46506 <br />Dear Property Owners: <br />The Historic Preservation Cora..iss.ion of Sout„ Send and St. Joseph <br />County has been charged with the task of locating sites an<l <br />structures in South Rend anti St. Joseph County of historical <br />significance. Your house, located at 63286 Miani Road, is being <br />Considered by the Coarrission as a historic landmark because of <br />its architectural and historical significance. According to the <br />recent survey conducted by the Commission in St. Joseph County, <br />your house was declared a superior structure architecturally. <br />If your house is declared a landmark by ordinance, it would be <br />classified under :;roup B standards. T:,e Conrais3ion has two <br />de liter. ;tio-s of lancLearks it der ordinance -- Group 8 and Group B. <br />There are, therefore, two separate sets of standards. <br />Please read. the enclosed standards carefully. If you have any <br />questi^ns whatsoever cn any part of these standards, feel free <br />to call re at 234-7202, <br />If you approve of the standards as they are and want your house <br />declared s landmark, please sign the enclosed official permission <br />form in order to have the house declared a lan-Lmar% under <br />ordinance. Also fill out that portion pertaining to standards <br />and nail or brine the form in the enclosed envelope to the <br />COWA ss.ion office within thirty days.
