V. NEW BUSINESS <br />"OLD HOUSE FAIR" HLFI Proposal <br />Catherine Hostetler briefly spoke to commission members about the "Old House Fair" <br />HLFI Proposal. The commission consensus on this proposal was favorable. (Refer to <br />yellow copy of proposal in HPC meeting Binder). <br />John Oxian also wanted Wayne Doolittle to go out and take pictures of two houses that <br />are in really bad shape and should have letters sent to the owners. One is 1114 Lincoln <br />Way West and the other one is 415 Parry Street. John also asked Catherine to send him <br />copies of the letters. <br />VI. HEARING OF VISITORS <br />Don Sporleder said that the Michiana Greenways charette workshop will be held in South <br />Bend, with the assistance of Memorial Hospital, at Leighton Center on June 9th. In St. <br />Joseph County this week, which you have probably saw in the paper, the mapping is on <br />the wall at St. Patrick's Park. The public is invited to come and look and comment. If <br />there is anything that has been overlooked it should be added. There are some historic <br />water trails as well. <br />VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS, MISCELLANEOUS, ADJOURNMENT <br />LYNN PATRICK: At this time I would like to present to our esteemed commissioner, <br />John Oxian with the Michiana 55 Plus Volunteer Award. Congratulations on your <br />nomination for the 2005 Michiana 55 Plus Volunteer Award. This was awarded April 26, <br />2005. Through your contributions to our community you have helped and inspired <br />others. We thank you for your volunteer efforts and hope you continue as a positive role <br />model in the many, many, many, years to come. <br />Lynn Patrick makes a motion to adjourn the meeting.
