2. Grant Status: Brochure; Decennial Survey of City & County
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: Correspondence on the Leeper Park Bridge Lights is
included in your meeting packet along with a response from Carl Littrell to the Division
of Design and INDOT.
John Oxian stated that he had maps for the Kessler Plan.
JULIE SCHUTTE: We also received an email from Michael Divita from Community
Development regarding the Summer Street Model Block Project in the St. Casmier
National Register District. They have purchased 1553 Dunham Street and have included
some of their specifications for renovations to the exterior of the property. They would
like comments from HPC by October 22"d, which is this Friday. (Refer to specifications
listed in email enclosed in meeting packet).
JOHN OXIAN: You inform them that we are not going to give them an answer by
October 22"d. We want an extension; because, I am going to put it into Gerry's
committee. I would like his committee to review it and give a recommendation to us as a
commission with the number of changes that they want to do to that house. This is a 106
Review so I am going to put it into the St. Casmier District Committee.
JULIE SCHUTTE: They have also sent an email saying that they are having a meeting
on October 28`h at 5:30 pm at St. Mary's Polish National Church. Gerry stated that he
would get his committee together and meet with them
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: We have got the bids for the brochures. (See copy of
Rink Printing Company estimate for historic district brochures in meeting packet). All
the paper work was submitted down state for the survey of city and the resurvey of the
additions to the county survey. They estimate it is going to cost an additional $8,000.00
dollars for the two publications over and above the $19,000.00 that is already there and
the $11,000.00 that we have already encumbered and the additional $8,000.00 that they
are asking for the two publications of which we only have to pay $6,700.00.
LYNN PATRICK: I will make a motion that we look into encumbering the funds and
verifying that Rink Printing Company will stand by their price; I would recommend at
least six months and then try to wrap this up after we have brought in this new district
and made the other changes and then do the printing. I also move that we do go over the
5000 for the four color process redesign of the existing brochure and adding the color to
the district maps and keep it as written on the other side of the paper for scanning and
modifying the nine district maps. The price would be $1,366.00 dollars for scanning,
modifying, and printing the district maps; and 5000 for the reset and redesign of the
existing brochure; and printing to be 5000 printed at the cost of $4,150.00 dollars.
MARY JANE CHASE: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously.
3. Legal Report — (nothing to report at this time)
IV. OLD BUSINESS
LHD Lamp Post blanket approval language
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: I have enclosed in your packets a draft of a blanket
memorandum for these yard lights in historic districts so that they don't have to come
before the commission and pay $5.00 for a C of A.
LYNN PATRICK: I will make a motion that we accept your blanket approval form for
the yard lights as submitted.
MARTHA CHOITZ: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously.
7
