JOSEPH COUNTY <br />MONTHLY MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />December 20, 2004 4th Floor, Council Chambers, County -City <br />Building, South Bend, IN <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br />STAFF ABSENT: <br />Lynn Patrick, Martha Choitz, Gerald Ujdak, <br />Joann Sporleder, Mary Jane Chase, John Oxian <br />Diane Wrobel-Illes <br />Catherine Hostetler, Director <br />John Livingston, City Attorney <br />Julie Schutte, Assistant Director <br />ALSO PRESENT: Don Sporleder, Tom Price, Kolin <br />Hodson, Chuck Simon, Lynda Simon, Rabbi <br />Steve Leapman, Geoff Newman, Larry and <br />Margaret Porter <br />L CALLED MEETING TO ORDER <br />JOHN OXIAN: Called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. <br />II. PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER: (See staff report attached to C of A). Homeowner, Tom <br />Price was present. <br />Joann Sporleder asked the homeowner what size trees they are planning on planting. <br />Tom Price stated that they had not picked out any particular trees yet; however, they <br />would like to have trees that gave off a significant amount of shade. Joann Sporleder <br />suggested that the homeowner pick a tree for the tree lawn that is a fairly good size tree <br />so that it cannot be knocked over or pushed over by passing persons or cars, etc. <br />LYNN PATRICK: I move that we approve application 2004-1201. <br />GERALD UJDAK: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. <br />1 <br />
