III. HISTORIC SURVEY UPDATE & CORRECTION <br />Re -rate Marquette School, now yclept Marquette Primary Center (Now rated C- <br />10; proposed rating Significant/Notable- 11/12). <br />JOHN OXIAN: This rating was a mistake made in the first survey. The mistake <br />continued in the second survey and should be corrected. The rating should be raised to <br />an eleven. <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER: I so move_ <br />GERALD UJDAK: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. <br />IV. REGULAR BUSINESS <br />A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />LYNN PATRICK: I move that we accept the minutes for November 17` and January <br />26` as submitted. The minutes from September 26, 2003 remain tabled. <br />GERALD UJDAK: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. <br />B. TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Catherine Hostetler stated that she met with staff. Everything was current and up -to -date. <br />C. HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON REPORT <br />1. Chapin Park proposed local district <br />2. German Township <br />3. St. Casimer District Project <br />4. Portage Avenue Multi Resources /Queen Anne District <br />5. National Register Shaefer/Miami Trail <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER: Mr. Livingston has completed the ordinance and the legal <br />description of the Chapin Street District. I would like to move that the agenda be <br />amended to allow Mr. Livingston to address this at this point during the meeting. <br />JOHN LIVINGSTON: The ordinance itself is a couple of paragraphs with four pages of <br />legal description. In order to move the district forward, the Commission should form a <br />recommendation regarding the establishment of the Chapin Park Local Historic District. <br />A member of the Common Council can then introduce the ordinance for first reading. <br />VIRGINIA O'HAIR: I move that the Commission favorably recommend the <br />establishment of the Chapin Park Local Historic District. <br />LYNN PATRICK: Seconds the motion and it passes unanimously. <br />2 <br />
