702 LaSalle - Exterior <br />4/8/2004 12:33 <br />area trade <br />no. specification cost <br />Gen Doors & <br />9.00 Exterior Door & Window general notes: <br />Windows <br />9.00a - Window - for all windows: repair deteriorated sashes. Replace any <br />plexiglass or broken glass w/ SS glass. <br />Replace any missing or loose glazing compound with new. <br />Raise upper sash if dropped and fix in place with small blocks screwed in place. <br />If glazing compound is significantly deteriorated or if glass is broken, remove <br />glazing compound, prime sash with boiled linseed oil and re -glaze with glazing <br />compound and points. <br />Remove obsolete hardware from window & trim. <br />All sash locks to latch securely. Adjust as req'd. <br />Install new brass plated locks & lifts if required. <br />9.00b - For bedrooms and all second floor rooms: Repair, and adjust lower sash to <br />operate smoothly. Replace sash cords with nylon- reinforced cords if missing or <br />deteriorated. <br />Ext Ext Dr & Win <br />9.07 Door - exterior - new lockset: At new entry door into 1 Kit - Install new keyed lockset <br />in new door as follows - one entrance and one mortised deadbolt keyed alike to <br />Ext Ext Dr & Win <br />9.09 Door - exterior - repair: 2nd level door out onto porch roof - stablize (Abatron or <br />equal) rot at bottom of door. Replace threshold and weather stripping with new. <br />Ext Ext Dr & Win <br />9.10 Door - exterior - new pre -hung wood door at 1 Kit. Wood door - 32x6' -8" (contractor <br />must field verify) With tempered glass panel and two wood panels below. <br />Ext Ext Dr & Win <br />9.11 New wood storm door at 1 Kit entry. With closure and latch <br />New wood storm door at 2ST1 onto porch roof. With closure and latch <br />Ext Ext Dr & Win <br />9.13 Porch screen rebuild: North door - Replace damaged screen wire. Reuse screen <br />stop or replace with similar wood stop. New screen to be black fiberglass. <br />Ext Ext Dr & Win <br />9.21 Repair windows: All windows adjusted and repaired as necessary per general <br />window specification 9.00a & 9.00b. <br />Special window conditions: existing alum storms removed and reinstalled per spec <br />below. <br />Ext Ext Dr & Win <br />9.29 Storm window - LABOR ONLY - Remove all existing storm windows - SBHF to <br />refurbish removed components - Contractor to reinstall after windows are painted. <br />Gen Pnt - ext <br />12.00 (3) WOOD SIDING & TRIM - Exterior painting: <br />Exterior color selection to be as follows: <br />Siding - TBD <br />Window trim - TBD <br />Frieze / soffit / porch columns - TBD <br />Thoroughly scrape loose or blistered paint from areas to be painted. Unless <br />noted otherwise, prime all painted surfaces. Caulk seams as required with exterior <br />grade silicone caulk. If window exteriors are to be painted, take care to not paint <br />shut.
