BRENDAN CRUMLISH: Because the tree has been stunted in growth, due to the fact that it is
under the canopy of the other larger trees.
JOHN OXIAN: How come you have the two trees on the other side of the property line to
remove? I am talking about the beech tree and the mulberry tree.
BRENDAN CRUMLISH: The mulberry tree is leaning very far over the neighbor's fence and
the neighbor is anxious for me to have it removed.
GERALD UJDAK: What kind of pine trees are those?
BRENDAN CRUMLISH: They are spruce trees. They were Christmas trees that were planted
and now they have grown fifteen feet tall.
JOHN OXIAN: I would also recommend that you save the beech tree.
BRENDAN CRUMLISH: Ok, I will try and do that.
LYNN PATRICK: Percentage -wise, what is the approximate total volume of tree mass now
versus what will be left afterwards when you are done?
BRENDAN CRUMLISH: It will be between twenty -five and fifty percent. I think I am keeping
the larger trees, with the exception of the twelve -inch maple tree there closest to the house that is
ripping up the brick pavement.
LYNN PATRICK: I also think that you should save the beech tree.
MARTHA CHOITZ: I will move that application number 2003 -0711 be approved as written in
the C. of A. and that the owners talk it over with the staff here about those trees that were in
question.
GERALD UJDAK: Seconds the motion and the motion passes unanimously.
2. 2003 -0721; 1025 Hudson Avenue; remove aluminum siding &
porch enclosure, replicate original pergolas over front door & side
door, fascia board, roof braces, door molding, trim piece around
house, and cornice molding over windows. Also replace aluminum
storm/screen doors and windows with cedar. Build small addition
on North of house and remodel back of house. Install half -round
copper gutters.
KAREN HAMMOND -NASH: (See attached Staff Report).
DOUGLAS GIBSON: (Was present to answer questions from commission members).
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: I would like the commission to address everything that is in
column number one as one issue and everything that is in column number two as a separate
issue.
00
