One or perhaps several of the eleven proposed routes may adversely im-
pact your home and/or property.
The Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County (HPC) is
also reviewing the proposed routes and their impact upon the historic structures and landscapes
in the southern half of the county. Your property is listed in the Indiana Historic Sites & Struc-
tures Inventory of St. Joseph County as <<Contributing, Significant, or Outstanding.» It is thus
a part of the county's rich agricultural, commercial, and architectural heritage and is of interest
to the Historic Preservation Commission.
If you have any concerns or thoughts about the proposed routes and their impact upon
your property, please send a short written or typed response to the Historic Preservation Com-
mission. Also, we are interested in adding architectural and historical information on properties
and structures that may be affected by the US 31 improvements to our report and to our archives.
We would be most grateful if anything of note could be included with the response to this letter.
- Best, `---
t Julie L.
