NANCY ICKLER: You know if it would be all right, I guess, I would rather not have
specifically a chain link fence approved
JOHN OXIAN: If you can find any other type of wire fence, I would like to see you try
and find one.
JOANN SPORLEDER: I think there are other types of wire fence out there.
JOHN OXIAN: Yes, the old type of farm fences, which have the big squares like this,
you might find them at Lowes.
JOANN SPORLEDER: I know you can get those; because_, I saw a whole selection of
them at Farm and Fleet.
JOHN OXIAN: They might have that type.
JOANN SPORLEDER: Every once in awhile there is a big ad in the Old House Journal
for these types of fences.
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: We can approve the alternative; either a wire fence, or
coded chain link fence, is the owner's option, from three feet tall to five feet tall.
JOHN OXIAN: I am the last person you would want to speak with, I like chain link
fences.
JOANN SPORLEDER: So, you do like chain link fences.
JOHN OIXAN: Yes, I do like chain link fences. Privacy fences are not like chain link
fences.
NANCY ICKLER: This even more open than a chain link fence this particular one; but,
if you can find something else.
JOHN OXIAN: That's why I asked you to put it behind the bushes.
JOANN SPORLEDER: What always goes through your mind though, is "is there razor
wire on the top of that one?"
JOHN OXIAN: No, I put mine up without it. Someone make a motion for what you
would like to approve.
JOANN SPORLEDER: Number six of the staff recommendation: moving the existing
hedge and replacing the wire fence with a similar style. I move for approval.
MARY JANE CHASE: Second.
M
