368 JOHN OXIAN: I move to approve application 2001-0510 with the stipulations that
369 the fence is to be four feet tall, post holes will not be driven next to the tree and that a
370 section of the north corner of the deck be removed to allow more water to get to the tree.
371
372 JERRY WEINER: I second the motion.
373
374 After due consideration, the following action was taken:
375
376 Upon a motion by John Oxian, being seconded by Jerry Weiner and carried
377 unanimously, application 2001-0510 was approved with the stipulations that the fence be
378 four feet tall, that post holes not be dug next to the tree and that the north corner of the
379 deck be removed to allow more water to get to the tree.
380
381 8. 2001-0510-2, 803 N. Notre Dame, plaque.
382
383 CATHERINE HOSTETLER: I move to approve application 2001-0510-2 as
384 recommended by staff.
385
386 JERRY WEINER: I second the motion.
387
388 After due consideration, the following action was taken:
389
390 Upon a motion by Catherine Hostetler, being seconded by Jerry Weiner and
391 carried unanimously, application 2001-0510-2 was approved as recommended by staff.
392
393 9. 2001-0515, 909 Riverside Drive, roof.
394
-- - - --- -------
395 RHONDA SAUNDERS: The owner did come to the staff late with this application
396 and as such I was not able to see the proposed replacement material until after this report
397 was written. The owner, Cecilia Cunningham, is present and will exhibit the material.
398 The material is very well designed; the only difference is that the new material is about a
399 half size longer then the existing slate tile.
10
401 CECILIA CUNNINGHAM: Here is my present slate and this is the replacement
402 material. There is a house on DonMoyer that was just done in this material.
403
404 CONTRACTOR: This tile is made of recycled material such as tires. It is a lot less
405 expensive then slate and has been around for twenty years and has a fifty-year life
406 expectancy.
407
408 RICHARD MORRISON: How does this compare with regular asphalt shingles?
409
410 CONTRACTOR: It is a lot more, three in one shingles are $30.00 a square and this
411 material is $400.00 for a hundred square feet.
412
6
