The <br />enclosed existing and proposed plans, elevations and photographs (digital JPEG) <br />supplement the C of A application. <br />On the morning of Tuesday, February 28, 2000, 1 met at the project site with Ed <br />Talley, Steve Ullery and Kathy Baumgartner to review the scope of the project. <br />General: <br />All rehabilitation work part of the building exterior is intended to follow the Guidelines <br />of the Secretary of Interior Standards for Rehabilitation as follows: <br />Windows: <br />Primary Elevations: East and North Side - <br />These windows and openings (exterior terra cotta trim surrounds, interior trim, sash <br />and frames) are to remain in place and will be rehabilitated in place. The only <br />window unit reconfiguration proposed is the following: <br />1. The windows at the new proposed bedroom unit at the first floor NE <br />apartment. (See plans/elevations). The Indiana Uniform Building Code <br />requires a window meet emergency egress from any sleeping room <br />(bedroom) IUBC Section 310.4. <br />All other existing wood frames/sash will be salvaged and rehabilitated, repainted <br />and made operable where originally operable. Any existing sash rail and style that <br />are damaged beyond repair will be replaced with material of like and kind. New <br />glass is proposed as clear. The proposed new units are intended to be Pella units. <br />An alternative quote may be submitted by Kolbe & Kolbe Millwork.
