NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />e. continued.... <br />amount that is to be paid semi - annually. <br />This Bond is scheduled to close on <br />February 11, 1997. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission adopted Resolution <br />No. 1494, approving the execution of an <br />addendum to the lease dated as of January <br />15, 1997, between the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission and the <br />South Bend Redevelopment Authority for <br />certain land and public improvements <br />located thereon. <br />f. Commission approval requested for use <br />of the Morris Civic Plaza and the <br />former Mark's restaurant for the <br />Michiana Arts & Sciences Council's <br />1997 Carnival for the Arts. <br />Ms. Kolata noted that she received a letter <br />from Karen Schirmer, Director of the <br />Michiana Arts & Sciences Council <br />requesting the use of both the Morris <br />Civic Plaza and the former Mark's <br />restaurant, from May 15 - 18, 1997 for <br />the Carnival for the Arts. She noted that <br />they will be using the Morris Civic <br />auditorium and the parking lot of the <br />LaSalle Hotel for the Carnival. <br />Ms. Kolata noted that Michiana Arts & <br />Sciences Council will need to coordinate <br />with the University of Notre Dame art <br />students, who currently have an art gallery <br />in the former Mark's restaurant.
