CORRECTED <br />11/5/99 <br />D. Committee Reports <br />1. Historic Districts <br />None. - <br />2. Historic Landmarks <br />a. 302 W. Washington, Peoples Church, 1st reading. <br />Mr. Oxian noted that the church is currently for sale. He further noted that three landmarks will <br />be before the Council next week. <br />3. Standards and Maintenance <br />a. 549 River Avenue - greenhouse <br />Mr. Fine stated that the owner has canceled two meetings because the drawings are not finished. <br />b. 1130 E. Wayne Street - addition <br />Mr. Fine noted that the Committee met with the architect. He further stated that the Committee <br />has approved the use of wood casement windows to replicate the existing windows, reuse of the <br />brick off the original house as a brick chair rail and sills on the new addition, installation of <br />stucco on the remaining walls, installation of half -round steel gutters, the use of decorative <br />wood exposed rafter tails and fascia board, installation of a decorative tile design to replicate <br />the one located in front gable, the use of a three panel wood door, installation of a brick court <br />with brick pavers that will link the new addition to the garage and the installation of a trunkated <br />roof covered with asphalt shingles. There was some discussion over the items presented by Mr. <br />Fine and the architect. Mr. Zmyslo moved to approve the application as recommended by the <br />Standards and Maintenance Committee. Mrs. Gallagher seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />c. 713 LaSalle - porch and fire exit <br />Mr. Fine reported that he has set up a meeting with the contractor on Thursday, September <br />23rd. <br />E. Staff Reports <br />1. C of A Staff Approvals (none) <br />2. Legal <br />None. <br />3. Miscellaneous Activities & Grants <br />Mr. Talley circulated photographs of the side walk project in Leeper Park. <br />IV. Old Business <br />1. 1999-0518 - 803 Notre Dame Avenue <br />Mrs. Saunders stated that the Northeast Neighborhood Council has obtained a signed lease <br />from the City, but, approval has not yet been obtained from the City for the proposed project. <br />She further noted that the needed approval should be recieved from the Board of Public Works <br />by the October meeting. <br />5 <br />2. Commission Member Needed for IUSB Fest <br />
