Mr. Oxian suggested that the application be placed into the Standards and Maintenance <br />Committee. Mrs. Hostetler moved to place the application into the Standards and Maintenance <br />Committee. Mr. Zmyslo seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />B.Local Landmark Second Reading <br />1. 3016 Portage Avenue - Portage Manor <br />Mr. Oxian stated that 3016 Portage Avenue will be tabled indefinitely at the request of the <br />owners. He also noted that the owners have decided to embrace the National Register listing of <br />this property. <br />2. 911 Golden Avenue <br />Mr. Talley circulated photographs and noted that the owner is in favor of landmarking the <br />house. Mrs. Hostetler moved to send the proposed landmarking of 911 Golden to the Council <br />with a favorable recommendation. Mrs. Choitz seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />C.Local Historic District - Second Reading <br />1. Cushing Street Proposed Local Historic District <br />Mr. Oxian stated that Cushing Street would be postponed until next month do to the fact that <br />the issue was not publicly advertised. There was some discussion over the meeting that was <br />held at the Near Northwest Neighborhood Associations and the difficulties the Commission is <br />having with the director of the Association. <br />III. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes <br />1. April 19, 1999 <br />Mr. Oxian stated that Commission members should submit their corrections to the staff. Mrs. <br />Choitz moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Mr. Zmyslo seconded the motion. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />B. Treasurers Report <br />Mr. Talley noted that a copy of the Auditors Office 1999 expenditure print out for the Historic <br />Preservation Commission office was included in the monthly packets as a method of keeping <br />the commission members informed. He also noted that he has been waiting for three months <br />to have a meeting with the auditor to straighten out the accounts. Mr. Talley further reported <br />that the office will be audited by the State Board of Accounts within the next 90 days, which <br />will help reorganize the office accounts. <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mr. Talley reported that the commission members have already received copies of the office's <br />incoming correspondence. <br />3 <br />
