NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />b. continued.... <br />She stated that Jenny Pitts Manier was one of <br />the best interns that she had the opportunity <br />to work with. <br />Mr. Hunt wished Jenny Pitts Manier the best <br />of luck in her new endeavors. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Ms. Auburn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission adopted Resolution No. 1489 <br />Recognizing Jenny Pitts Manier for <br />Distinguished Service to the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission and the City of <br />South Bend. <br />c. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1490 determining to pay <br />certain expenses incurred for local public <br />improvements in or serving the Airport <br />Economic Development Area Allocation <br />Area No. 1 from the Airport Economic <br />Development Area Allocation Area No. 1 <br />Special Fund. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that this resolution states <br />the Commission's intent to appropriate <br />$1,000,000 in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area and it sets a Public <br />Hearing for February 7, 1997 at 10:00 <br />regarding the appropriation. <br />She noted that this money would be used for <br />public improvements in the area, including <br />road improvements and other necessary <br />improvements in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />H:\ HOME\ CPHIPPS \WPDATA \COMMSN\01179ZMIN -8- <br />COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 1489 <br />RECOGNIZING JENNY PITTS MANIER FOR <br />DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND <br />
