Historic Landmarks 1st Reading <br />The Commission Staff noted that owner consent had been received, verbally, for 1818 <br />Lincolnway West, 115 S. Michigan and 911 S. Michigan. They further noted that the owners <br />of 1019 S. Michigan and 802 N. Lafayette are against the proposed landmarking of their <br />buildings. <br />3. Notre Dame <br />Mrs. Saunders noted that the Commission has finally received a signed Certificate of <br />Appropriateness application from the City of South Bend for the proposed work at the <br />firehouse. She further noted that a Certificate was issued based on the Commission's previous <br />approval of the project. <br />B. 1999-0924-2-709-711 Lincolnway East, parking lot. <br />Mr. Talley stated that he gave a tour to the property owner, of all the offices he would need to <br />contact to complete his project. He also noted that the owner has submitted a drawing of the <br />parking lot that outlines where the parking spaces and fencing would be located. Mrs. Choitz <br />asked if the owner has applied for any other permits. Mr. Talley stated that he does not believe <br />the owner has taken any further steps. Mrs. Saunders noted that the Committee would need to <br />vote on this issue tonight or the application would automatically be approved. There was some <br />discussion over why the parking lot could only be accessed from Lincolnway East and not the <br />alley. Mrs. Choitz showed concern over the lack of specific information and documentation <br />supplied by the owner. <br />
