Ms. DesLauriers stated that the flush overhead door would be fine. Mr. Oxian moved to <br />recommend approval of the application with the addition that 5", "K" style gutters and <br />downspouts be installed, a service door in the style of the "Challenge" door number WS801 be <br />used and a flush type overhead door be used instead of the proposed raised panel door. Mr. <br />Weiner seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. A phone vote concerning the <br />Committee's motion was held on November 16, 1999, as follows: John Oxian-yes, Martha <br />Choitz-yes, Jerry Weiner -yes, Gerald Ujdak-yes, Catherine Hostetler -yes and Richard Helmus- <br />yes. The motion presented by the Committee passed unanimously. <br />5. 1999-1029-2-552 River Avenue, gutters and downspouts. <br />Mr. Talley presented the staff report. He also noted that the owners were not present. Mr. <br />Oxian moved to recommend approval of the installation of half -round galvanized gutters as <br />submitted. Mr. Ujdak seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. A phone vote <br />was taken concerning the Committee motion on November 16, 1999, as follows: John Oxian- <br />yes, Martha Choitz-yes, Jerry Weiner -yes, Gerald Ujdak-yes, Catherine Hostetler -yes and <br />Richard Helmus-yes. The motion presented by the Committee passed unanimously. <br />B. Proposed Local Landmarks, 2nd Reading <br />1.501 West Colfax—Remedy Building. <br />Mr. Oxian stated that the Staff will make its presentation, however, the Committee will not vote <br />on this issue do to a lack of a quorum. Mr. Talley presented the staff report and circulated <br />photographs. Mrs. Choitz noted that the tower was located on the southwest corner of the <br />building and not the northeast corner. Mr. Talley stated that the building has been placed under <br />Interim Protection because of the owner's attempts to demolish it. He also noted that the <br />proposed demolition of the building was tabled by the Design Review Committee until the <br />Interim Protection expires. Mr. Lykowski, the owner, stated that an offer has been made for <br />this building be Gerald Clifford. He went on to request that the landmarking of the building be <br />tabled until the sale is final. There was some discussion over the condition of the building and <br />the difficulty Mr. Lykowski has had in selling it. Mr. Oxian moved to recommend tabling the <br />landmarking of 501 W. Colfax until December. Mr. Ujdak seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed unanimously. A phone vote was taken, concerning the Committee's motion to table, on <br />November 16, 1999, as follows: John Oxian-yes, Martha Choitz-yes, Jerry Weiner -yes, Gerald <br />Ujdak-yes, Catherine Hostetler -yes and Richard Helmus-yes. The motion to table the proposed <br />landmarking of 501 W. Colfax until December, passed unanimously. <br />III. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes <br />Tabled until December. <br />B. Treasurer's Report <br />None. <br />
