Mr. Duvall reported that a set of questions designed to assist the consultant <br />working .on the-Lincolnway West corridor study, have been roceived.'•Mr. Oxian <br />_stated that if Commissioners wanted to,see'the-questions they should request a <br />copy from the Staff, fill .it out 'and give it,back to them so it can,,be taken <br />to the next Lincolnway hest meeting. <br />Mr. Duvall stated that a notice was .received' from the Historic Landmarks <br />Foundation stating that the National Commission Forum would be held July 31st' <br />and --August 2nd in Denver,. Colorado. He further - noted -that a scholarship is <br />available. Mr. Duvall -.also noted. that the Historic Landmarks Foundation has. <br />-created a, program where Commissions' can join the Foundation as a group ,for. <br />$10.00 a Commission member. <br />-D. Committee Reports <br />1. Budget & Finance <br />Mr. Oxian stated that the $30,000.00 supplemental fund was granted. <br />2. Historic Districts <br />Mr.,-Oxian ,stated.that North St. -Joseph Street proposed district is before the <br />Common Council and should come up on their agenda in the.near•future. <br />Mrs. Choitz reported that the Historic Districts Committee met ,to answer the <br />questions posed by owners regarding the changing of: the Riverside Drive, <br />guidelines, where it was decided that the suggestions were inappropriate. She <br />also noted that the'e'lections for the new liaison members is finished. <br />3. Historic Landmarks <br />Mr. Oxian stated that the JMS Building will be.up for'landmarking riext Monday. <br />Mr. Talley stated that his investigation of the Natatorium situation is still', <br />on going and that he will have a report ready for July's meeting. <br />4. Standards and Maintenance <br />Nothing to report. <br />5. Legal <br />Mrs. DeRose stated that she has prepared a letter to go out 'tomorrow to Mr. <br />Crumlish concerning changing the Riverside Drive: Guidelines. The letter. <br />basically, states that, his interpretation is not correct and that the <br />Commission has to be involved in the changing of any guidelines. There was <br />some discussion over the situation with Mr'. Crumlish. �. <br />E. Staff.Reports <br />1. C of A Staff Approvals (see attachment) <br />2. Legal <br />-Mrs: DeRose, reported that she has sent a violation letter twice to Mr.; Albers <br />regarding the illegal removallof a tree and .every time the letter'. has been <br />returned. Mr. Duvall noted that he' had written a letter previously notifying , <br />the owner of the violation and requesting that he apply for a .Certificate of <br />Appropriateness. He .further noted ,that- the letter did not come back and no <br />application was filed. At this time the matter -was turned over to'Mrs. DeRose <br />who has since had the letter returned stamped attempted not.known. <br />Mrs' DeRose stated that she has sent 'a letter to AEP regarding the light <br />fixture on East --Jefferson Street that was replaced with an inappropriate <br />fixture, however, they have not responded. Mr. .Oxian asked how long .of a time <br />frame did Mrs. DeRose give AEP to.,respond.- Mrs. DeRose stated that she had <br />given them two weeks to respond. <br />page 5 <br />
