I <br />Mrs. Fife asked if once revisions were complete should a copy for review <br />and approval prior to having the rest of the copies made. Mr. Duvall stated- <br />that four copies of the final, approved plan need to be provided to the <br />Department of Historic 'Preservation and •Archaeology by August' 30th. He <br />further noted that the Commission can approve the final project on August <br />17th, and still have time to get copies to the DHPA by the August 30th dead, <br />line. There was some discussion over -the number of copies that shoulX be made <br />and what needs to be supplied to the Commission by their August 17th meeting. <br />Mr. Fine'reiterated,Mr._ Talley's feelings in how good a job the Westerly Group <br />did with- this_pro -ject. Mr - Oxian stated -that the- City wants to malLth s the <br />most esthetically pleasing entry into South Bend. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />Mr. Oxian stated that since it was getting late the Commission should only <br />, touch on things that have•to be done. <br />A.'Approval of Minutes <br />1'.' June 15, 1998 <br />Mr. Oxian stated - 'that he had some corrections but would submit them later. <br />Mr. Talley moved to approve the minutes' as.corrected, 'Mr. Fine seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />B. Treasurer's Report <br />Mr. Wiener circulated copies of the Treasurer's report. Mr. Oxian stated that <br />the Commission,will vote on it'next month. <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mr. Duvall indicated that the office had received a letter from Tom Selsor <br />stating that he wanted to add another forty feet to the' rear of the building <br />on which a previous request for an addition had been approved a few months <br />ago. Upon'speaking with Mr. Selsor -Mr. Duvall stated that he would propose-it <br />to 'the Commission and• ask if it could' be an - amendment of the original <br />- application or if it 'would need- a new application for a Certificate of <br />Appropriateness. Mr. Oxian. stated that the issue should be- placed into the <br />Standards and Maintenance Committee. Mr. Talley moved to place the request <br />into the' Standards and Maintenance Committee. Mrs. Choitz seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously. Mr'. Duvall stated that there had not <br />been an application submitted yet. Mr. Oxian stated that if the addition is <br />'the - same as those proposed•on the original application then -the Standards and <br />Maintenance Committee could handle the details., however, if it is different or <br />becomes more complicated,'then it should be transferred back into the hands of <br />the Commission. <br />D: Committee Reports <br />1. Budget & Finance <br />None. <br />2. Historic Districts <br />-None. <br />3. Historic Landmarks <br />L Mr. Duvall stated that the-houses at 219 and 217 Franklin.Place and 407 -409 W. <br />Jefferson Street would have a.first reading in August.- <br />" - 4.'Standards & Maintenance <br />None.. <br />8 <br />
