decided. Mr. Kil stated that he too had been in contact with Mr. Hurdis <br />• concerning the same possibility with the same out come. Mrs. Sporleder asked <br />Mr. Kil what it was he was asking for at this time. Mr. Kil stated that the <br />owner would like the building designated as a local landmark and if possible <br />as part of the Multiple Resource District. Mr. Duvall stated that the <br />criteria for establishing the Multiple Resource District would have to be <br />looked at to see why the building had not been included in the original <br />nomination. He further noted that it was possible that the building would not <br />physically fit the district and'that the building currently has a rather low <br />rating in the Indiana Historic Survey due to inappropriate additions that have <br />since been removed. Mr. Oxian stated that a building can be landmarked <br />regardless of its rating if it has some historical significance. Mr. Fine <br />moved that the commission pursue the local landmarking of the property and <br />assist in anyway to get it included in the Multiple Property Resource <br />District. Mrs. Choitz seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Talley moved to return to the agenda. Mr. Oxian seconded the motion. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />B. Approval of Minutes <br />1. November 17, 1997 <br />Mr. Talley moved to accept the minutes as submitted. Mrs. Choitz seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />C. Treasurers Report <br />Nothing to report. <br />D. Correspondence <br />Mr. Duvall indicated that there was nothing to report. <br />E. Committeo Reports <br />1. Budget & Finance <br />Mr. Oxian stated there was no business to report <br />2. Historic District <br />Mrs. Choitz stated that they had the final two Project Access meetings for <br />Riverside Drive and West North Shore. She noted that there was very positive <br />feedback from the residents, especially from West North Shore. She also <br />expressed the. effort that was being put forth to better educate liaison <br />committees about their responsibilities. Mrs. Choitz went on to state that <br />the Project Access meetings should continue as part of the commissions routine <br />to make the commission more approachable to home owners and that it would be <br />wise to have the commission keep in contact with the liaison committees too. <br />3. Standards & Maintenance <br />Mr. Oxian asked if the Committee had met with Mrs. Whikizer concerning her <br />gate. Mr. Fine stated that it had been left to Mr. Duvall to handle and that <br />they were still waiting for her.to submit a design. <br />4. Legal <br />There was noting new to report. <br />E.
