CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS STAFF REPORT <br />revised 5--13-93 <br />In as much as the present owner seems unable to complete <br />maintenance and repairs in a timely manner and a change in <br />ownership is anticipated, it is problematic whether the <br />commission could enforce proper reproduction of the porch <br />elements in the future_ Staff therefore recommends denial <br />of this parch demolition as presently stated in <br />anticipation of a future comprehensive rehabilitation <br />program. <br />Foundation and chimney brick is found to be in need of <br />maintenance. The Staff approves the repointing of masonry <br />with a soft lime and sand based mortar mix with Portland <br />cement content not to exceed 20% by volume and limited <br />in-kind exchange of broken and/or missing brick with <br />replacement brick which matches the original in shape, <br />size, color, and texture. <br />
