Mr. Vos answered
that the windows were being 'restored. The
triple track vinyl windows in the specs referred to the application of
interior storms. Commissioner Eide asked about the mechanicals. Mr. Vos
said that the building would have a central system located in the existing
mechanical room.
Commissioner Sporleder asked if the windows would be operable. Mr. Vos said
yes, the windows would be "tuned up" and made completely operable.
Commissioner Choitz asked about the state og the drawings that the HPC had
examined. Mr. Vos said that concerning CHS they were firm with the exception
of the proposed standing seamed roof in the courtyard. This proposal had been
dropped and that the courtyard would remain open to the sky. Commissioner Choitz
asked about d000rs. Mr. Vos replied that the extant doors were sufficient and
that an ADA ramp would be added. Commissioner Choitz asked about possible
demolition. Mr. Vos said that the chimney and power plant were scheduled for
demolition. Commissioner Oxian said the demolition would require a C of A.
Commissioner Choitz asked about the adequacy of the current parking facilities.
Mr. Arnesen responded that the parking was adequate. Commissioner Choitz
asked about a change in the roof line. Mr. Vos said there would be none.
Commissioner Petrass asked about the elevator. Mr. Vos said a new elevator
would be installed in the existing shaft.
Commissioner Oxian asked about the removal of any trees. Mr. Arnesen said
that the landscape plans were to be reviewed by the Alexander Co. landscape
architect. Commissioner Oxian asked about the roof vents. Mr. Vos replied
that they would be removed in favor of all new mechanicals. Commissioner
Oxian asked about the west exit. Mr. Vos said there would be no change.
Commissioner Oxian asked about the proposed light fixture change out. Mr. Vos
said a fixture from the.north facade would be paired with one on the west facade
and that a new fixture would be provided on the north facade. Mr. Vos said that the plans for the
Vo-Tech building were in a preliminary phase but that the intention was to
remove the third addition to the building (courtyard infill).
