Commissioner Petrass spoke concerning egress to the Little Theater. <br />Commissioner Sporleder asked about the parking facilities. Mr. Arnesen <br />responded that some attempts to secure parking areas may in fact have <br />a worsening effect and that this matter was still under discussion. <br />Commissioner Sporleder asked about the management of the buildings. <br />Mr. Arnesen responded that the Alexander Co. provides full service <br />on-site management for each of their projects. <br />Commissioner Sporleder moved to approve the C of A as presented by the <br />Alexander Co. in the drawings and plans as received by the HPC on <br />December 1, 1993 and explained and elaborated on during the meeting of <br />December 20, 1993. The C of A does not extend to any demolition nor <br />does it include any change in the plans following December 20, 1993. <br />Commissioner Petrass seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />The committee members who will hear any changes in the plans for Central <br />High School are as follows: Commiss koners Sporleder (alternate Eide), <br />Oxian (alternate Petrass),Hostetler and Wiener. . <br />4. 520 East Colfax; the Probst House National Register Nomination <br />Mr. Frederick read the staff report. Ms. Kiemnec elaborated on the <br />site change and the Eastlake detailing of the Probst House. Commissioner <br />Sporleder asked about the nomination process. Ms. Kiemnec responded that <br />since South Bend is a CLG all nominations to the National Register must <br />be submitted via the HPC. Commissioner Choitz moved for approval of <br />the nomination as submitted. Commissioner Sporleder seconded. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes -November 15, 1993 <br />Commissioner Choitz moved to approve the minutes as submitted. Commissioner <br />Hostetler seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />B. Legal <br />Counsel DeRose spoke concerning a possible legislative change for the intro- <br />duction of historic preservation ordinances -Discussion ensued about the current <br />situation and the HPC and how best to remedy it. There was also brief talk <br />about the HPC's involvement with the Department of Code Enforcement. <br />F. Historic Districts Committee <br />LHD implementation procedures were given to each commissioner. Staff noted <br />the receipt of a letter from the RD-LHD-Liasion Committee. <br />G.
