Commissioner Petrass spoke concerning egress to the Little Theater. Commissioner Sporleder asked about the parking facilities. Mr. Arnesen responded that some attempts to secure parking areas may in fact have a worsening effect and that this matter was still under discussion. Commissioner Sporleder asked about the management of the buildings. Mr. Arnesen responded that the Alexander Co. provides full service on-site management for each of their projects. Commissioner Sporleder moved to approve the C of A as presented by the Alexander Co. in the drawings and plans as received by the HPC on December 1, 1993 and explained and elaborated on during the meeting of December 20, 1993. The C of A does not extend to any demolition nor does it include any change in the plans following December 20, 1993. Commissioner Petrass seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. The committee members who will hear any changes in the plans for Central High School are as follows: Commiss koners Sporleder (alternate Eide), Oxian (alternate Petrass),Hostetler and Wiener. . 4. 520 East Colfax; the Probst House National Register Nomination Mr. Frederick read the staff report. Ms. Kiemnec elaborated on the site change and the Eastlake detailing of the Probst House. Commissioner Sporleder asked about the nomination process. Ms. Kiemnec responded that since South Bend is a CLG all nominations to the National Register must be submitted via the HPC. Commissioner Choitz moved for approval of the nomination as submitted. Commissioner Sporleder seconded. The motion passed unanimously. IV. Regular Business A. Approval of Minutes -November 15, 1993 Commissioner Choitz moved to approve the minutes as submitted. Legal Counsel DeRose spoke concerning a possible legislative change for the intro- duction of historic preservation ordinances -Discussion ensued about the current situation and the HPC and how best to remedy it. There was also brief talk about the HPC's involvement with the Department of Code Enforcement. F. Historic Districts Committee LHD implementation procedures were given to each commissioner. Staff noted the receipt of a letter from the RD-LHD-Liasion Committee. G. Historic Landmarks No report. H. Standards -and Maintenance No report.
