No Report. <br />1. Personnel <br />Mr. Holycross introduced the new staff Administrative Assistant, Mr. Chip Frederick. <br />8. Staff Reports <br />No Report. <br />V. Old Business <br />Mr. Oxian announced new HPC committee assignments: 1. Ms. Hostetler to the Historic District and <br />Legal committees; 2. Ms. Van Dalsen as cochairperson of Standards and Maintenance (with Mrs. <br />Sporleder) committee. <br />VI. New Business <br />VII. Hearing of Visitors <br />Mr. Ed Talley asked that all HPC members be given a copy of the district newsletter. He asked when <br />the city would begin work on the streetlights on Riverside Drive; and stated that there was "no <br />coordination" on "getting the lights waterproofed and painted" and asked about "grant money." <br />Mr. Oxian replied that he had given him information about Indiana Humanities grants that might be <br />used for their newsletter. <br />Mr. Talley then asked that the neighborhood be informed about the "school thing." Mr. Holycross <br />stated that the neighborhood would be informed as the Madison renovation plans continued. <br />VIII. Announcements/Miscellaneous Matters <br />Mrs. Sporleder asked for an update on the vacant NPC positions. Mr. Oxian replied that there were <br />two: mayoral and city council, Democratic, appointments. <br />. Mr. Oxian announced that an ordinance had been sent to the County Council that sought to amend HPC <br />ordinance to require that the HPC be involved in any landmark or historic district petition and be <br />required to make a recommendation on any proposed change. <br />IX. Adjournment <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 p.m. <br />
