committee had held a reorganization meeting last week, <br />and elected a chairman. <br />Mr. Herendeen asked Mr. Oxian whether he thought the <br />February hearing had proven worthwhile. Mr. Oxian said <br />it had; the petitioners had liked the answers the HPC <br />had given them, and learned a great deal about the <br />mechanics of historic districts. The hearing had <br />generated new interest, within other areas, in seeking <br />historic district status. <br />Mr. Here moved to the minutes, as <br />correcte Mrs. Choitz seconded the motion. Approved <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Oxian directed the other commission members to <br />submit any corrections to the staff. <br />B. Treasurer's Report <br />Mr. Holycross reported no unusual expenses during the <br />past month, and asked the commission to ap rov th e <br />r_e as..._submitted . Mrs Denne so mo ved; Mrs. <br />Sporleder seconded the motion. Approved unanimously. <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mr. Holycross notified the commission members of an <br />upcoming free conference re, conflict management, to be <br />held March 26 in Hammond. Data Entry Clerk <br />Mr. Holycross reported that the state office had <br />given him permission to hire a data entry clerk. <br />He had duly obtained three bids; the lowest was <br />$8.35 /hour. Hiring a data entry clerk would <br />cost only $350, would be funded with grant <br />money, and would save much staff time. <br />7 <br />
