Darden Bridge <br />Mr. Holycross described a Department of the <br />Interior program he was investigating, <br />"the Highway and Bridge Replacement and <br />Rehabilitation Program," whereby the Federal <br />Government paid 80% of rehabilitation costs. <br />At present, he said, he was trying to contact <br />the appropriate persons. <br />6. Public Relations and Community Education <br />No report. <br />7. Personnel <br />Mr. Holycross said he had found a candidate, <br />Sushmita Hodges, for the research assistant <br />position. She was selected from a field of <br />five finalists after two weeks of taking <br />applications and one day of interviews. Among <br />her credentials were four degrees in history, <br />including a Ph.D. <br />Mr. Welsheimer moved to approve the candidate; <br />Mr. Herendeen seconded the motion. <br />8.
