Mr. Newburn suggested that Mrs. Dixon send a <br />letter to the County Council concerning the <br />above request. <br />3. Legal <br />No Report. <br />Mr. Oxian requested that Mrs. Dixon <br />contact Ms. DeRose to get her legal <br />opinion regarding the placement of the <br />HPC staff on the payroll. <br />r 4. Historic District <br />No Report. <br />5. Historic Landmarks <br />a. 1028 E. Wayne Street <br />Mrs. Dixon reported that she sent out the <br />C. of A. Landmark guidelines and <br />procedures to Mr. Joe Barkman of the <br />Family and Children's Center. She was <br />told by Mr. Barkman that the property was <br />going to be repaired this summer. Mrs. <br />Dixon said she would do a follow-up on the <br />property. <br />b. Mr. Oxian requested that the first <br />reading for landmark status of Witter <br />Cemetery be included in the following <br />month's agenda. <br />6. Public Relations & Community Education <br />No report. <br />7. Personnel <br />Mrs. Dixon reported that as of March 25 <br />HPC would need a new secretary. Mrs. <br />Gaytan had accepted another position. <br />Presently there were about twenty <br />applicants for the position. <br />8. Staff Reports <br />The Historic Landmarks Foundation was <br />holding a meeting the following Monday <br />focusing on the proper procedures for <br />conducting and participating in a public <br />meeting. <br />Members of a commission in a C.L.G. were <br />required to attend at least one certified <br />meeting a year. <br />Other options, which met the above <br />3 <br />
