D. Committee Reports
• 1. Certificates of Appropriateness
No Report
2. Budget & Finance
a. Explanation of 1990 Budget
Mrs Dixon reported that the Commission
members were sent an explanation of the
unusual circumstances regarding the 1990
budget, as well as a copy of the 1991
budgetary projection and asked if there
were any questions. None were voiced.
b. Apple Computer
Mrs. Dixon reported that, due to the pur-
chase of the new computer this summer,
the office now had an Apple IIe computer
which it could no longer use. The Near
Northwest Neighborhood organization had
expressed an interest in the computer and
the County had provided the information
necessary to permit its donation to the
organization from the HPC. Mrs. Dixon
stated that, if the Commission would so
choose, it could donate the computer to
the neighborhood group.
• Mr. Herendeen asked how the organization
found out and whether or not the Commis-
sion would have need of the computer in
the future. Mr. Oxian stated that he had
informed the group that the computer was
no longer in use and the organization
submitted a proposal stating their intent
and their uses for the computer.
Mrs. Dixon stated that the Apple IIe was
not compatible with the new HPC computer
or those of other departments and, there-
fore, would be of little or no use to the
Commission.
Mrs. Dixon further stated that the Deputy
County Auditor had informed her that it
was not necessary to give public notice
of the computers availability. There-
fore, the Commission would be within
proper procedures to donate the computer
to the group.
Mrs_..__Choi_t_z___mov_ed_._to--- don to_-the__c_o_m-nut-e-r
to the Near_ Nort_hwest_-Ne.in.hborhood
• organization Mrc Petrass seconded..
Notion_. approved by a_vote of six in
favor. on e a_b s t -a i n i n g (Mr. O x i a n )_ .-
3.
