He presented several drawings of <br />different types of windows to flank the chimney on <br />the north side, again with the desire to permit <br />more light to enter the space. <br />The Commission members discussed various ideas with <br />Mr. Boyer which would serve the purposes desired by <br />the owners and still be compatible with the style <br />of the home. They then arrived at the following <br />conclusions: <br />Part I: Mr. Eide moved to accept the Palladian <br />window on the south facade as per the drawing <br />submitted at the meeting. Mr. Herendeen seconded. <br />Motion approved. <br />Part II: Mrs. Choitz moved to accept an 18" <br />quarter -round window on either side of the chimney <br />(at a higher point than the original) and a small <br />18x18" square window directly below each quarter - <br />round. Mr. Herendeen seconded. <br />Amendment I: Mr. Herendeen moved that the motion <br />be amended to state that the quarter -round be <br />divided into two panes while the lower, square sash <br />be undivided. Mr. Newburn seconded. <br />Amendment II: Mr. Eide moved that the motion be <br />further amended to state that the quarter -rounds <br />have either true divided lights or applied exterior <br />muntins. Mr. Herendeen seconded. <br />The Commission voted on Part II, as amended. <br />Motion(s) approved. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />A. Minutes - November 19,1990 <br />Mr. Oxian requested that the first paragraph of <br />page 7 be changed to read Common Council and County <br />Council, rather than simply the Council for the two <br />different references made in that paragraph (see <br />amended minutes for further explanation). The <br />minutes were approved as amended. <br />B. Treasurers Report - November, 1990 <br />• The Commission approved the treasurer's report as <br />submitted. <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mrs. Dixon submitted the correspondence for review <br />by the Commission. <br />
