• <br />CJ <br />farms in St. Joseph County. Mr. Oxian suggested that the <br />Commission notify local historic farm owners of the possibility of <br />using the tax act. The Commission agreed to wait until the status <br />of the tax act is decided. <br />C. CLO Grant Funds Appropriated <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported to the Commission that David Gibney has been <br />hired as a Technical Preservation Consultant under funding by the <br />CLG Grant. She reported that there will be money available for <br />him to give technical advice to owners of landmark houses <br />regarding care of their historic homes. Ms. Kiemnec reported <br />that the grant money must be spent by July, 1986. Mr. Nimtz made <br />a motion that the program outlined by Ms. Kiemnec be approved <br />excluding any architectural services; Mr. Newburn seconded; motion <br />passed. <br />9. Hearing of Visitors <br />a. Riverside Drive Historic District Committee Report <br />1) Mr. Brian Crumlish, member of the Riverside Drive Historic <br />District Liaison Committe gave a report to the Commission on <br />what the various committees are doing at this time. <br />2) Dedication of the district is scheduled for Sunday, June 1, <br />1986 at 2:30 p.m. <br />3) Ms. Kiemnec passed out papers giving renters living in the <br />Riverside Drive Historic District information concerning <br />Certificates of Appropriatnes <br />10. Announcements & Miscellaneous Matters <br />Mrs. Gina DeLaurelle made the motion to adjourn, Mr. Odell Newburn <br />seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m. <br />_ S. <br />
