• <br />Barnard, and Jeanne Derbeck. Mr. Nimtz then made a motion <br />that before the letter is sent that a committee be appointed <br />to confer with the City Attorney's Office to consider the <br />possibility of the City's bringing legal action against the <br />owners of 601 LWE because of violation of local ordinances; <br />Mr. Beatty seconded; motion passed. Mr. Kevin Butler, the <br />Commission's attorney, Mr. Oxian, and Mrs. DeLaruelle were <br />appointed to the committee. <br />c. Historic Landmarks <br />Ms. Kiemnec inquired as to whether the Commission would give a <br />landmark plaque to the Neighborhood Housing Service for 803 N. <br />Notre Dame Avenue. Mr. Oxian indicated that the Commission had <br />established a policy to give landmark plaques to any city owned <br />landmarks. <br />Mr. Oxian reported that the Landmarks Committee will meet on <br />August 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the County/City Building. <br />d. Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 110-112 Franklin <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported on a Certificate of Appropriateness <br />which was issued by the President, Mrs. Sporleder, and the <br />COA Committee whereby the owners of the house will replace <br />the entire roof within 18 months with black asphalt shingles. <br />The metal crest strips must be restored or replaced. Mr. <br />Hayes made a motion to approve the Certificate of <br />Appropriateness; Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion passed. <br />g. Staff Report <br />1) Preservation Plan <br />Ms. Straw reported that she is continuing work on the <br />Preservation Plan. She further reported that the Multiple <br />Resource Area -nomination was reviewed by the State Division <br />of Historic Preservation's staff and returned with several <br />requests for additional information.
