Budget & Finance <br />1) 1985 County Budget <br />Ms. Kiemnec distributed and explained the proposed county <br />budget which was given to the County Commissioners (see <br />Appendix B). <br />b. Historic Districts <br />1) 601 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec read a letter from South Bend Heritage (see <br />Appendix C) requesting permission to move the house at 601 <br />Lincoinway East into Monroe Park. Mrs. Choltz made a motion <br />that the Commission respond to South Bend Heritage's letter <br />by indicating that our first priority is to have the house at <br />601 Lincolnway East restored in place, made a local landmark, <br />and left as the cornerstone to the Edgewater Place Historic <br />District. if, however, that solution is impossible, we would <br />approve moving the house with &U of its architectural <br />features intact. The letter will further point out to the <br />owners that any new buildings constructed In the district are <br />subject to the Edgewater Place Historic District Standards <br />and a Certificate of Appropriateness must be obtained before <br />a Building Permit will be issued. Mr. Hayes seconded the <br />motion; motion passed, Mr. Nimtz abstained. Copies will be <br />forwarded to: Ann Kolata, the Mayor's Office, John <br />Freidline, the Panzicas, Southhold Restorations, HLFI, Kathy <br />2 <br />
