11 <br />Enterprise Zone that the City has worked on. <br />7. Old Business <br />a. Mayor's Conference <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that because expenses for speakers for the <br />upcoming Mayor's Conference are higher than last year, she would <br />like permission to apply for a grant from the Department of the <br />Interior (through the State Historic Preservation Oftice) for <br />approximately $1500. She indicated that the Commission would be <br />more likely to obtain funding than one of the non- profit groups <br />working on the project and that the grant would be matched by the <br />registration monies., a cash contribution from each participating <br />organization, and from in-kind services. Mr. Nimtz made a motion <br />that the Commission direct Ms. Kiemnec to apply for the grant to <br />cover expenses for the Mayor's Conference; Mr. Beatty seconded; <br />motion passed. <br />b. County Maps <br />Ms. Kiemnec asked if the Commission Wished to have a distribution <br />policy on the County Maps. It was the general consensus that <br />distribution would be left to her discretion. <br />8. New Business <br />a. Goals for 1984 <br />The Commission reviewed and discussed possible goals for 1984 <br />(see Appendix C). There was a general consensus that the items <br />on the sheet would be the projects for this year. The District's <br />Committee will meet to propose priorities for districts for 1984. <br />b. Committee Appointments <br />Committee Appointments were made according to Appendix D. <br />9. Hearing of Visitors <br />No Report <br />10. Announcements & Miscellaneous Matters <br />Ms. Kiemnec announced that she has copies of the Historic American <br />Buildings Survey in Indiana in the office for $4.80 each. She <br />distributed the Annual Report for 1983 and an Information Sheet from <br />the National Trust on Historic District Commissions. <br />Mr. Wimtz made a motion to adjourn; motion passed; the meeting was <br />adjourned at 9:35 p.m. <br />
