Staff Report <br />1) Multiple Resource Area <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that the Multiple Resource Area <br />• nomination for downtown South Bend had been sent in on <br />January 17, 1984. It should be before the Review Board in <br />Indianapolis in July of this year. <br />2) Small Town Survey — County Summary Report <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that progress on the County Summary <br />Report is good. She is working with an intern from Notre <br />Dame who will do the history of St. Marys College which is <br />the only small town history yet to be done. <br />3) Industrial Buildings Project <br />Ms. Kiemnec introduced Mr. Randy Wallar who has been hired as <br />a Research Assistant to work on the Industrial Buildings <br />Project. She also distributed a list of the Industrial <br />Buildings which will be considered for the study (see <br />Appendix B). Ms. Kiemnec requested permission to apply for <br />an extension to the grant for the project because more <br />buildings will need to be looked at than was originally <br />thought. She wished to apply for a $560 grant from the <br />Department of the Interior (through the State Historic <br />Preservation Office) which will be matched with $420 from the <br />Redevelopment Department and $140 from the Commission. Mr. <br />Oxian made a motion to that eftect; Mrs. Choitz seconded; <br />motion passed. Mrs. Sporleder indicated that she and Ms. <br />• Kiemnec had met with Mr. Jon Hunt and that she wished to see <br />our Industrial Buildings Project coordinated with the Urban <br />
