Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 553 Edgewater Place <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that she had approved a new fiberglass <br />roof for 553 Edgewater Place to replace the old asphalt <br />shingle roof. <br />2) 757 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Klemnec reported that a Certificate of Appropriateness <br />had been approved for a retaining wall, wooden stairway, and <br />fence at the rear of the property at 757 Lincolnway East. <br />3) 517 Edgewater <br />• Ms. Kiemnec reported that a new wooden stairway had been <br />built along the riverfront property at 517 Edgewater Place. <br />The Commissioners indicated that the stairway was built to <br />replace an old deteriorated one and no action was necessary. <br />• <br />4) 619 Edgewater <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that a Certificate of Appropriateness <br />had been approved for a porch balustrade at 619 Edgewater <br />Place. She also indicated that Mr. Smith has completed the <br />landscaping and retaining wall on his riverfront project. He <br />will complete the railing and fieldstone on the wall next <br />spring. <br />5) Union Station <br />Mr. Oxian reported that the Certificate of Appropriateness <br />Committee, Mr. John Stamper, an architect and former <br />preservation planner for the Commission, and Ms. Kiemnec met <br />with Mr. Kevin Smith and his architect, Mr. Tom Kenrick, for <br />preliminary review of Union Station. The Committee agreed <br />with Mr. Smith's plans for the station but asked for more <br />specific details on several items (see Appendix B). <br />3 <br />
