The Old -House Journal, July, 1984. <br />The Commission discussed the 1984 National Preservation Conference to <br />be held in Baltimore, Maryland from October 24-28, 1984. Mrs. Choitz <br />made a motion to allot $150 from the Travel line item in the budget <br />for Ms. Kiemnec to attend the conference; Mr. Nimtz seconded; motion <br />carried. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />• a. Budget 8 Finance <br />1) 1985 Community Development Budget <br />Ms. Kiemnec explained the budget she had turned in to <br />Community Development on August 10. The total request was <br />for $9,055, $6,455 for salary for the Administrative <br />Assistant and $2,600 for secretarial services. She also <br />explained the County Commissioners recommendation concerning <br />the HPC County Budget for 1985 (see Appendix A). Mr. Nimtz <br />made a motion that both the County and the Community <br />Development Budget proposals be approved; Mrs. Petrass <br />seconded; motion passed. <br />b. Historic Districts <br />1) 601 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec explained that the City Legal Department is <br />researching the possibility of bringing legal action against <br />the owners of 601 L.W.E. She will notify the committee which <br />was appointed at the last meeting as soon as she receives <br />word from City Legal. Ms. Sporieder suggested contacting Mr. <br />Jeff Gibney of South Bend Heritage to determine if their <br />proposal to move the house has a deadline. <br />2 <br />
