Budget & Finance - no report <br />b. -Historic Districts <br />1) Edgewater Place Historic District <br />a) Report on 601 Lincolnway East <br />Ms. Kiemnec read the response from the Building Commissioner in regard <br />to the Historic Preservation Commission's request for a delay of one <br />year on issuance of a demolition permit for 601 L.W.E. (Appendix A). <br />c. Historic Landmarks <br />1) Second Reading for Landmark Designation of 644 Monroe - <br />Mr. Oxian made a motion that 644 Monroe be -'declared a landmark by ordinance <br />and sent to the Common Council; Mrs. DeLaruelle seconded; motion carried. <br />2) First Reading for Landmark Designation of 635 South Main (School Administration <br />Building) <br />3) Status of Landmark Designation of 518 N. Lafayette Blvd. <br />Ms. Kiemnec read the Area Plan Commission's recommendation to the Common <br />Council on the house (Appendix B). <br />d. Lega 1 <br />1) Ordinance Amendment <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported on the May 6 meeting with Kevin Butler, Richard Johnson, <br />Eugenia Schwartz, Lew McGann, and Kathy Cekanski. Sheds waiting to hear <br />from Mr. Butler on the conclusions of the lawyers on legal matters regarding <br />the Amendment and will meet with the Legal Committee when these matters are <br />resolved. <br />e. Public Relations & Community Education - no report <br />f. Envivonmental Impact Statement <br />1) Certificate of Appropriateness for 619 Edgewater Place <br />Ms. Kiemnec gave a report of her conversation with Mr. John Lesczcynski, the <br />City Engineer, regarding the ownership of the property between"A he street and <br />the river.in front of, Kevin Smith's house. She indicated that the city owns <br />that property. Mrs. Sporleder and Mr. Nimtz suggested that the Historic <br />Preservation Commission cannot give their approval for a Certificate of <br />
