Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the Commission approved Resolution No. 1429 determining to pay certain expenses incurred for local public improvements in or serving the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. IA) from the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 1A) Special Fund. 1. Commission approval requested for proposal for canopy /walkway repairs related to the State Theatre. Mrs. Kolata noted that the Commission retained ownership of the facade of the State Theater. A portion of the roof or walkway above the 2nd floor office space is leaking. It has been determined that that is part of the facade and the Commission's responsibiltiy to repair. We have two proposals for the repair. Midland Engineering has proposed to do the repair for a cost of $9,965. Slatile Roofing has proposed to do the work for $3,325, including a number of options. Engineering has reviewed the proposal and recommends accepting the proposal from Slatile with all of the options. Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded COMMISSION APPROVED PROPOSAL FOR by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, CANOPY /WALKWAY REPAIRS RELATED the Commission approved the proposal from TO THE STATE THEATRE. Slatile for canopy /walkway repairs related to the State Theatre. -12-
