South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - May 3, 1996 <br />m. Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for landscaping design services <br />in the Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that we expect to soon <br />bid out the construction of a boulevard <br />between the new Parkview Juvenile Center <br />and the site identified for Ivy Tech. The <br />boulevard needs some landscaping treatment <br />which is not part of the construction <br />specifications at this point. We want to <br />have the landscaping designed. Landscapes <br />Unlimited has proposed to do the design for <br />$750. Landscape Design Company has <br />proposed to do the work for $720. The <br />staff recommends accepting the bid of <br />Landscape Design, based on the lower bid <br />and the fact that it is the company doing the <br />landscaping for the Parkview site. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal from <br />Landscape Design for landscaping design <br />services in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area. <br />n. Commission approval requested for <br />Addendum to contract for Sale of Land <br />(Champion Soft Water) <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that Champion Soft <br />Water would like to take title to the <br />property they are buying from the <br />Commission, personally, and lease to <br />Champion Soft Water rather than the <br />company taking title.
