Second Reading for Landmark Designation <br />Mr. Oxian reported that the three buildings up for second <br />reading of landmark status, 701 LaSalle, 2119 Portage and <br />66984 Pine Road had received owner consent. He further stated <br />that the house at 66984 Pine Road is presently a Landmark <br />by Resolution but that the owner requested Landmark by Ordi- <br />nance status. Mr. Oxian then made motion that 701 .LaSalle <br />and 2119 Portage be declared city landmarks by ordinance, <br />66984 Pine Road be declared a county landmark by ordinance <br />and sent to the appropriate councils. Mrs. Sporleder sec- <br />onded and the motion passed. <br />2. School Buildings <br />Mr. Oxian reported that the matter of declaring Central and <br />Oliver Schools landmarks was to be brought before the School <br />Board on November 16. To date, he has heard nothing further <br />and he recommended that if there was no response by the Com- <br />mission's December meeting, that we take action. <br />0 3. Legal <br />a)` Gaylen Allsop <br />Mrs. Price circulated a letter of appreciation to Mr. <br />Allsop, who has resigned as the Commission's lawyer, <br />for all Commissioners to sign. <br />b) By-laws <br />A proposal for by-laws revisions was circulated as well <br />as a copy of suggested changes by Mr. Oxian for Article 7. <br />After some discussion, Mr. Nimtz moved that the matter be <br />held over until the next meeting to give the Commissioners <br />time to study the revisions. Mrs. Sporleder seconded <br />and the motion passed. <br />ca Historic Preservation Commission Lawyer <br />Mr. Nimtz reported that Mr. Kevin Butler had not made a <br />decision yet. He requested an outline of the tasks in- <br />volved and was given such a list which had been prepared <br />by Mrs. Price. <br />d) Ms. Kiemnec announced that the Proposed Ordinance revisions <br />• are being reviewed by Mrs. Eugenia Swartz who will put them <br />into Amendment form. If they are received by the City Clerk <br />by December 9, they will be on the agenda for the December 14 <br />Common Council meeting. <br />
