Call to Order <br />ervation commission <br />of south bend and st. joseph county <br />M I N U T E S <br />ROOM 1123 COUNTY CITY BUILDING <br />south bend, indiana 46601 (219 284-9798) <br />Third Floor -Conference Room <br />Mrs. Price called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />2. Roll Call <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mrs. Ruth Price, Mr. John Oxian., Mrs. Joann Sporleder, <br />Mr. F. Jay Nimtz, Mrs. Joyce Sherk, Mr. Charles Hayes <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. David Reinke, Mr. Odell Newburn, Mr. Ted Wasielewski <br />ALSO PRESENT: Karen Kiemnec, Preservation Planner, Jeanne Derbeck, <br />40 Hannah Moore, Delores Davisson, Martha Choitz, Paul <br />Crowley, & Kathryn Brookins <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br />The October 19, 1981 minutes were approved as, written. Mr. Oxian moved <br />that they be approved, seconded by Mr. Hayes; motion carried. <br />4. Treasurer's Report <br />Ms. Kiemnec read the Treasurer's Report for October. She reported the <br />Commission Budget will be okay for the remainder of 1981 if the final <br />payment of $1200 for the City Survey is received soon. Anticipated. <br />bills for November and December are $1258.00 and $1143.33; anticipated <br />assets (including the $1200) are $3102.07. There was discussion about <br />whether the $500 left in Line Item 261 Legal Services should be trans- <br />ferred into other areas to pay bills. Mr. Oxian made a motion that <br />funds could be transferred at the discretion of the Director as long as <br />some money was available should a need for legal fees come up. Mr. Hayes <br />seconded, the motion carried. <br />5. Correspondence <br />Ms. Kiemnec read the following correspondence: <br />• a. Brochure from the Practicing Law Institute about books <br />b. Brochure from Rutgers University, Center for Urban Policy <br />Research about books including some about Historic Preser- <br />vation. <br />
