A letter from the National Trust about the 1981 convention to be held in <br />New Orleans. <br />Mrs. Price read the correspondence she received: <br />a. A publication called Early Man about archeology. <br />b. A letter from Mara Gelbloom. <br />c. A review of recently decided court cases. <br />d. An application for Guidelines. <br />e. A letter from Crumlish/Sporleder & Associates regarding the Darden Road <br />Bridge. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />Budget & Finance <br />Mr. Stamper stated he talked to Mr. John Lantz in the County Auditor's <br />office about establishing a special account with the County Auditor for <br />the Small Town Survey. An account was established called Project Small <br />Town Survey and a letter has been sent to HFLI requesting that they send <br />at least one third of their grant commitment. Also, a letter will be sent <br />to the SHPO requesting reimbursement for donated time. Mr. Stamper <br />reported that the 1982 budget has been submitted to the County Commissioners. <br />There has been no reply as yet. <br />Historic Districts <br />Edgewater Place <br />The Commission reviewed a Certificate of Appropriateness application for <br />725 Lincolnway East, property owned by Rick Grimmer and Phil Kline. The <br />application included a request for a brick paved parking lot for three cars <br />and a wheelchair ramp. <br />Mr. Wasielewski moved that the Commission approve the Certificate of <br />Appropriateness application for 725 Lincolnway East. Mrs. Sporleder <br />seconded the motion and it was approved. <br />Mr. John Oxian suggested that the Commission adopt a policy requiring <br />the Neighborhood Committee from the Historic District to give their <br />opinion when a Certificate of Appropriateness Application has been <br />submitted. No action was taken, however. <br />The Commission reviewed the current status of 609 Lincolnway East, a <br />vacant house owned by Philip Panzica, for which an August 1st demolition <br />order has been given by the Bureau of Substandard Housing. The garage <br />at 601 Lincolnway is alos included in the order. Mr. Stamper read a <br />site inspection report stating that:the building has a serious structural <br />
