Correspondence (cont.) <br />4.A letter received from Daniel Kidd, a planner in Lincoln, Nebraska, <br />requesting materials that portray our local program. <br />5.A letter received from the National Trust asking for advertisements <br />for summer internships. <br />6.A letter received from Mr. Ron Medow concerning a garage that he <br />owns located at 427 City Hall Court. Mr. Medow, would appreciate <br />a recommendation from the Commission regarding future use and main- <br />tenance of the building. <br />7.An announcement from HCRS regarding legal tools on how to preserve <br />archeological sites. <br />8.A letter received from the County Commissioners to announce that <br />Ruth Price has been reappointed to the HPC Commission. Mrs. Price's <br />term of appointment is from December 28, 1980 to December 27, 1983. <br />Mrs. Price presented to the Commission information on pertinent law <br />cases from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />Mr. Stamper stated that the Inventory Catalogue is completed and is <br />in various stages of printing. It should be completed in a month <br />and a discussion should then proceed concerning district boundaries. <br />A small county survey report is in the process of completion to supple- <br />ment our historical data. <br />Budget and Finance <br />No Report <br />Historic Districts <br />Ted Wasielewski submitted a preliminary application for the <br />proposed Near West Side Historic District. The Commission will wait <br />on further developments. <br />Historic Landmarks and Standards <br />Discussion was continued on the landmark designation of 935 S. <br />Ironwood. Joann Sporleder had reviewed the home and recommended <br />landmark status. And Mr. Stamper presented various photographs of <br />the home. Mrs. Price made a motion to approve the home and John Oxian <br />seconded the motion. The motion was carried. <br />• The next home presented for discussion was 63907 Bremen Highway, <br />Woodland, IN. The Commission decided to utilize the policy of first <br />and second readings on landmarks. This is the first reading <br />on the house with photographs of the house presented by Mr. Stamper <br />to the Commission. For the second reading the house will appear on <br />the agenda for February's Commission meeting. <br />
