Committee Reports <br />City Survey <br />This was covered by Mr. Brian Crumlish's presentation. <br />Enviornmental Impact <br />-Mr. Wasielewski said he had not called a meeting of this committee in <br />regard to the Colfax Bridge reconstruction. He, however, had asked <br />John Stamper to review the Cole Associates report on projected traffic <br />counts and noise levels. Mr. Stamper reiterated that the widening of <br />the Colfax Bridge will not adversely affect the West Washington His- <br />toric District. Mr. Eckerle said this project was not tied to the <br />Orange -Colfax Connector. After further discussion, Ms. Joann Spor- <br />leder moved that a letter be sent, stating that no adverse effect <br />was foreseen. Tim Eckerle seconded this motion and it passed unan- <br />imously. However, if any further work such as on the segment between <br />William and LaPorte were undertaken, then a separaterulingmust be <br />• made by the Commission. <br />Budget and Finance <br />Mr. Wasielewski reported that the tentative 1980 budget proposals had <br />been submitted to the City and Mr. Mullen indicated that no money is <br />available, but he had not formally notified the Commission. The County <br />has not set a date for submission of budget proposals. <br />Ruth Price said the committee will do everything possible to provide <br />secretarial help for the Commission and contacts should be made with <br />CETA. She said there will be a meeting of the committee regarding the <br />matter. <br />Historic Districts and Standards <br />Mr. Kline reported that a meeting of the West North Shore formative <br />steering committee will be meeting early next week. John Oxian then <br />spoke about various aspects that concerned this committee such as the <br />street lighting, the river side barrier at Lafayette and North Shore <br />Drive, etc. <br />Mr. Wasielewski reported that he was visited by John Solbeck, president <br />of the Park Avenue Neighborhood Association and he asked the Commission <br />to make contact with P.A.N.A. concerning establishing a local Historic <br />District. <br />It Mr. Oxian reported that tentative standards for homes have been <br />drawn up for the Edgewater area, but they have not been sent to the <br />
