Jay Nimtz reported to the Commission that he, as well <br />as President Smith, Ms. Deloris Davisson, Ms. Rita Kopczynski, <br />and Mr. Richard Johnson appeared on Thursday, February 17, in <br />Small Claims court concerning the suit of Walter Rinderle <br />against the Commission. Mr. -Roper, counsel for the plaintiff, <br />asked for time to prepare a brief and was given seven days for <br />this to"sk, and the Commission has ten days to file an answer. <br />Mr. Rinderle's claim was that he was under a verbal agreement <br />with the Commission which he felt was binding. However, the <br />defense maintains that no written contract was entered into, <br />and the only written contract between the Commission and Mr. <br />Rinderle terminated December 31, 19?5. <br />Mr. Oxian reported that he had <br />garding the question of facade <br />Alsop indicated that he would <br />for the Historic Preservation <br />then asked whether he would be <br />remarked that so far it would <br />as Mr. Alsop would contribute <br />the City Attorney's office. <br />Staff Report <br />spoken with Galen Alsop re - <br />easements. There was discussion on this and Mr. Catanzarite said the <br />trouble was due to not having a line by line item budget. He <br />said the Commission would probably have to have its own separate <br />budget. Mr. Catanzarite said he would talk to Mr. Larrison about <br />this matter of pay vouchers for Ms. Kopezynski. <br />Ms. Kopczynski then informed the Commission that she had made <br />an application for a part-time typist under CETA funds for a <br />minimum of 13 weeks. This person would start helping with the <br />cataloguing of slides,;and typing of identifying labels and <br />cataloguing cards. There was some discussion on this matter <br />and Mr. Oxian wished to know, pending reception of funds from <br />CETA, whether the person would be City or County CETA and was <br />told it was a city position. Ms.—Kopezynski had written to <br />Mr. Kelzenberg regarding the full-time position of research <br />assistant. <br />Presidential Report <br />Mr. Smith then said, as a final note, he will deliver the last <br />presidential report. He announced he had really enjoyed work- <br />ing with the staff and with the Commission members for the past <br />couple of years. He truly appreciated their dedication and. the <br />co-operation with each member. He said that ever since 1969, <br />
