Committee Reports <br />City Survey <br />In the absence of the chairman of this committee, a report on the <br />City Survey was not forthcoming. Both Ms. Kopczynski and Ms. Da- <br />visson felt that the issue of choosing an architect for the City <br />Survey should not be drawn out any longer. It was remarked that <br />this should be done before the first of the year. Mr. Smith voiced <br />his opinion that another meeting should be held in this regard. <br />There was quite a bit of discussion in this respect. <br />Budget and Finance <br />There was no report from this committee. <br />Historic Districts <br />Due to the absence of the chairman of this committee, Mr. Ted Was- <br />ielewski, there was no report. <br />Historic Landmarks <br />Mr. Nimtz spoke about the fine plaquing ceremony;on December 15, - <br />during the County Council session and remarked that, in his opin- <br />ion, it was very successful. Mr. Oxian suggested that the two <br />homeowners who did not attend the ceremony, Mr. James Kidder and <br />Mr. Steve Fodrocy, be contacted regarding the disposition of their <br />plaques. <br />Mr. Mian voiced the need for a Landmarks Committee meeting regard- <br />ing the Certificates of Appropriateness. He said he had been in -- <br />touch with several homeowners who may want a change in their struc- <br />tures. He suggested such a Certificate be written up and Mr. Russell <br />Rothermel be contacted in this regard. <br />Mr. Oxian then asked the Commission members if they had received and <br />noted his comments and report of the National Trust convention. Ms. <br />Davisson noted that it would be advisable to carry through on some <br />of the ideas from this convention. Mr. Smith said he was especially <br />interested.in Mr. Oxian's remarks on what had been done elsewhere in <br />the area of facade easements. Mr. Oxian remarked that he had a list -- <br />of five property owners who wished to come in and listen to tax bene- <br />fits, on the state and federal levels. He mentioned that Ms. Ruth <br />Price also wanted to participate in this. It was remarked that Galen <br />Alsop had also done some preliminary work. <br />Legal <br />Mr. Nimtz informed the Commission that it is being sued by Mr. <br />Walter Rinderle. The case was set for Wednesday, December 22, in <br />
