Septeinber 15, 1975
Page 5
item earmarked for travel, -it-was moved by Mr. F. Jay Nimtz
that such attendance be approved. Mr. -Al Stivers seconded
this notion and it passed unanimously.
tirs. McMahon asked approval by the Commission to make photo-
graphic enlargements of the Nordgren home in order to prepare
a display for use at the Conference. Mr. John Oxian made a
motion that such funds be approved. Mr. Al Stivers seconded
it and it passed unanimously.
Mrs. McMahon reported on the possibility of getting matching
funds from Eric Gilbertson to do some further work on the
County Survey. To date., no decision has been reached in this
area. There is no idea of when the -Commission will know the
results of this request.
Mrs. McMahon then asked the Commission's approval to buy a
scrapbook to store the many newspaper clippings relative to
the Commission's activities. Mr. John Oxian made a motion
-that such a purchase be approved and Mr. Al Stivers seconded
it. The motion was passed unanimously.
A discussion then ensued about the date of the next meeting.
A few Commission members felt the second Monday in the month
was not the most favorable time. After some discussion, it
was decided to inform Mr. Jack Dunfee that the Commission
would meet on Tuesday., October 21st., 1975.
Mrs. McMahon reported that she has looked over the application
for funds from MACOG and found that such funds would not be
suitable for the Commission's pArpose. She would., however,
check with 14r. Dunfee.
9. Old Business
Plaques
This was discussed earlier in the meeting.
Community Development Funds
Mr. Smith had spoken to Mr. 1tojnacki, about the possibility —
of receiving Community Development Funds. Mr. Hojnaclr-i sug-
gested that John Oxian souAd--out the Democratic members of
the City Council about the probability of getting such funds.
Ur. Oxian agreed to undertake this task.
Annual Report
Mrs. McMahon reported that the 1974 Annual Report was still
being distributed. 11r. Smith suggested that Mr. Al Stivers
give some thought to designing an Annual Report for 1975.
Mr. Stivers agreed to work on the project.
